Hey guys, it is time for the dream update. A quick summary of what is new:

  • Anarchist!
  • Free weekly advanced roles without duplicates

Anarchist

Anarchist

You win if the village fails to lynch anyone for 3 days total. Days in which voting was canceled because of role abilities do not count toward your win condition. If the village lynches or kills an innocent villager with an ability, you get the ability to skip a voting phase. This does count towards your win condition.

Anarchist is the new advanced role of fool and is the first new voting role to be added to Wolvesville since the release of the role cards in 2022! The fool - headhunter pairing remains unchanged.

Free Weekly Advanced Roles

We’ve been listening to all your feedback about the new free weekly advanced roles! 🎧 Most of it has been a big thumbs up 👍, but we also heard a few grumbles about getting free test cards for roles you already have 🙄. And guess what? You were totally right to grumble! We’ve now spruced up the system so you’ll only get roles you haven’t unlocked yet 🎉. So, for those of you who’ve unlocked everything, enjoy your shiny new semi-permanent anarchist card 😎.

Daily Challenge Shuffle Vouchers

Challenge Vouchers

We know that our daily challenges can sometimes be a bit of a mixed bag 🎲. Some of you thrive on the thrill of being a solo killer 🗡️, while others just want to jump in for a quick game as a happy villager. Everyone has their own way of playing, and that’s what makes our community so unique! To help keep things fun and flexible, we’ve introduced challenge shuffle vouchers 🎫. These nifty little vouchers let you switch up your challenges to better fit your playstyle 🎮.

These vouchers can be used to reroll any daily challenge. Currently, everyone is assigned two random daily challenges each day: one role challenge (“win/play as X or Y”) and one non-role challenge. Using a voucher will reroll a challenge into a new one of the same type, meaning role challenges will be replaced with a different random role challenge, and non-role challenges will be replaced with a new random non-role challenge.

Starting today, vouchers are handed out as daily rewards. To compensate for the decreased gold income, other daily gold rewards have been increased.

Role Changes

And now, as promised, maaaannny role changes 🥳

  • Great news, bakers ! Now your delicious bread sticks around even after you’re toast! 🍞
  • Conjurors or grave robbers , that have taken the role of a pacifist or vigilante , will see the role of players previously revealed by pacifist/vigilante.
  • When a fortune teller is killed, all players with unused cards will have their true roles revealed.
  • Junior werewolves and split wolves that are part of the instigator team can now target other werewolves with their abilities.
  • Players muted by a grumpy grandma or voodoo werewolf will have their first message replaced by “…” and will have all other messages hidden.
  • Preacher rework: When you correctly guess that a player is going to be killed, you get an extra vote. Similar to mayor , your extra vote(s) are inactive until you choose to reveal your role. You can only reveal yourself when you have at least one extra vote.
  • Priest can no longer kill a lurker that has been converted to the werewolf team.
  • Pacifist system message (“A pacifist/wolf pacifist has used their ability…”) no longer states if the ability was used by a pacifist or wolf pacifist (requires app version 2.7.74 or later).
  • Sect leader has unlimited private messages.
  • Sect leader game throwing protection:
    • Avenger , judge and loudmouth will have their selection cleared if they had the sect leader as a target when they are converted and will no longer be able to target their leader.
    • If the sect leader and a sect member are jailed by a warden , the member will no longer get the weapon when dropped by the warden.
  • Siren and arsonist bypass all protections.
  • During storm wolf ability, werewolves can see the votes of other werewolves. Additionally, the ability will no longer clear the player notes perk of other werewolves.
  • Swamp wolf swamp ability now blocks all villager abilities during the day.
  • Toxic wolf target selection has been moved to the day.
  • Violinist system message when checking a player will now include the team of the dead player.
  • Werewolf fan reveal is more noticeable for the target player.
  • Werewolves can no longer vote to kill a lurker that has been converted to the werewolf team.
  • Wolf scribe has the ability to select itself as a target for a false obituary.
  • Wolf shaman can target other werewolves for enchantment (requires app versions 2.7.74 or later).
  • Zombie bite bypasses tough guy protection.

And last, but not least, we have added a new night soundtrack for evil detective !

Changes to Flee System

In our last update, we added a feature where flees would be delayed until the start of the next phase in certain situations (like when a headhunter target makes a run for it during the voting phase). 🏃💨 Since then, you’ve shared even more clever scenarios where this delay would come in handy. 📬 Starting today, all flees will be delayed until the next phase kicks off. 🎬 The only exception is if someone flees during the first day. 🌞 In that case, their exit is on hold until we find a heroic replacement, at which point they’ll dash off and the hero will step in to save the day! 🦸‍♂️🚪
