Read on below for more information about what’s new:
⏰ New roles: watchdog and prayer
Two fresh roles have just joined the pack - ready to tip the balance between the howling wolves and the surviving villagers. Meet Watchdog and Prayer.
Watchdog :
“Each night, you can assign your two guard dogs to protect other players. One dog blocks werewolf attacks, while the other blocks solo killer attacks. Each dog can protect one player per night, and you can protect up to three different players in total.”
Prayer :
“During the night, you can select a player to pray for. If they die, your pray ability is replaced with a new ability based on their aura: Protect (Good) can be used to save one player at night, Kill (Evil) can be used to eliminate another player during any phase, and Reveal (Unknown) can be used during the day to discover a player’s role.”
Both roles will be available in Sandbox in the following months for testing, and if you like them, they might just become a permanent part of the game. Let us know what you think about them!
🐺 Role QOL changes
Big reworks and massive balancing changes are exciting, but sometimes roles just need small nudges to make them more enjoyable. This update contains a large number of such changes:
- Headhunter
: Soulbinder
can no longer be a target
- Headhunter
: If target dies during night 1, a new target is assigned
- Wolf scribe
: Can now fake a toxic wolf
kill
- Violinist
: Sect members will now only mourn the death of fellow sect members or their sect leader
- Baker
: Bread will still be handed out to their target even if baker was killed that night
- Cupid
: If a coupled werewolf pair win, cupid will now also win with them, even when dead
- Lurker
: Can now see private message by alpha werewolf
, sect leader
and instigator
- Conjuror
& grave robber
: When taking the role of marksman
, they now inherit the mark so that they can shoot right away
- Recruited werewolves
: Can now target other werewolves with their abilities
- Toxic wolf
: Fixed cleanup of poison mark when ability is canceled
- Anarchist
: If a village recruit
is killed by a village ability, it no longer gives anarchist a revolt
And then a couple of changes when multiple teams attack the same protected player during the night:
- Bodyguard
: 2 attackers result in the target being protected and the bodyguard dying while 3 attackers result in target and bodyguard dying
- Butcher
: Each attack will consume a meat, or, if butcher no longer has enough meats, the target will be killed
- Beasthunter
& trapper
: The first attacker will trigger the trap, while the second bypasses the trap and kills the target
General QOL
✨ Role updates are fun, but the app could also use occasional improvements. Here’s what’s new:
- 🎟️ Role‑exchange vouchers now let users keep their original perk. This will still consume the voucher.
- 🚪 Leaving a clan no longer erases XP data, so re‑joining won’t reset progress to zero.
- ⏳ Base‑role card offers now display a countdown timer in the mobile app.
- 📦 All base‑role card offers are consolidated under a single button on the main screen.
- 👥 Clan co‑leaders can enable or disable quests for other co‑leaders, and leaders can edit their own participation directly from the clan overview.
- 🤝 When viewing a friend’s profile, players can see how long they’ve been friends.
- 🌙 Moonlight members receive a 10 % increase to their XP limit.
- 🧥 You can now preview an entire Battle Pass outfit while looking at a single item.
- ✍️ Minor text tweaks have been applied to the Assassin gamemode.
- 🎁 It’s now possible to gift individual items from both the item collection and the emoji collection.
🛠️ Public API additions
Black_Wither has been very busy with even more updates to the public api:
- Add
GET /items/bundles
for fetching bundles - Add
GET /items/calendars
fetching all calendars - Add
GET /players/highscores
for fetching highscores - Modify
GET /shop/activeOffers
to add costInGems, avatarItemSets field for bundles & to add iconUrl for specific offer types
And finally multiple endpoints for managing clans:

- Add
POST /clans/{clanId}/{memberId}/kick
- Add
POST /clans/{clanId}/{memberId}/block
- Add
