Vampire court update

Vampire court update banner

Hey everyone, the Vampire Court update is here! Your chats got a big upgrade, three new minigames are ready to play, and the Prayer is finally back. Further down: setup ratings, your stats on Discord, simpler reporting, a newsletter and more.

💬 A new look for your chats

The new private chat and clan chat

Private chats and clan chat got a complete makeover, and you can now reply to a message and react to it with an emoji.

  • Press and hold a message to react, reply, copy or report it. On your phone, you can also swipe a message to the right to reply.
  • Block a friend right from your chat with them.
  • Write **bold**, *italic* or ~~strikethrough~~ to format your messages.
  • A “new” marker shows where you left off, and unread chats get their own section in your friends list.

🎲 Three new minigames

Four in a row, Rock paper scissors and Liar! join the minigames, and all minigames got a fresh look. In Liar!, you and your opponent hold hidden role cards and take turns claiming how many of one role are on the table. Don’t believe a claim? Call Liar!, and whoever was wrong loses a card.

Give them a try right here, against a bot:

Play them in the lobby, as a spectator or once you’ve died, and now also with your friends: tap the gamepad at the top of a private chat and pick a game.

🎭 Role changes

Prayer

The Prayer is back, rebuilt around information after your feedback, and joins the Scarecrow as an advanced role.

Prayer

Each night the Prayer prays for up to two players. At dawn it learns what was done to each of them: an attack, a protective action, information gathering, or something else. It never finds out who was behind it. Once per game a prayer is answered: the first time one of its two players is attacked at night, they survive.

If you played the old Prayer: there are no more inherited abilities. Picking two players, reading what happened to them and keeping one of them alive at the right moment is now the whole game.

Anarchist

  • The anarchist no longer gets a revolt. Instead, every innocent villager the village kills, by lynch or with an ability, now brings the anarchist one step closer to winning, just like a day without a lynch.
  • Reach 3 and you win, the moment you get there. Days on which voting was canceled by a role ability still don’t count.
  • Your progress sits as a counter in the control bar, tap it to see how close you are.

Shapeshifter

  • When the shapeshifter kills, it now leaves its old shape on the body: the victim is revealed as the role the shapeshifter was disguised as. Its first victim shows up as a shapeshifter, and every victim after that shows the role of the one before.
  • Players checking the shapeshifter still see it as the role of the last player it killed.

⭐ Rate role setups

Stats and rating for a role setup

The role setups you play in quick, advanced and sandbox games, and in ranked, are built by community volunteers. Now you can tell them what you think!

Tap Roles on the main screen and open the Setups tab. Under each community setup you’ll find a new Stats & rating link. Give the setup 1 to 5 stars, and if you change your mind after a few more games, just tap a different star. Your rating goes straight to the volunteers, so they can see which setups players enjoy and which ones need work.

You’ll also see which team wins how often in that setup, in the language you play in. Killer, voting and other wins break down further by role. For ranked setups you can rate, but we don’t show win rates there.

🎮 Your stats on Discord

The Wolvesville widget on a Discord profile

Show off your Wolvesville stats right on your Discord profile! The new Wolvesville widget shows your outfit, your level, since when you’ve been playing and your best role on every team.

  1. In Wolvesville, open Settings → Social links → Discord and tap Link with Discord. If you linked your Discord a while ago and see Relink Discord, tap that.
  2. In Discord, open your profile’s Board, tap Add Widget and pick Wolvesville under Game Stats.

Your widget updates whenever you open the game and after every game you play.

🚩 Simpler reporting

Reporting a player used to take way too many taps. We cut it down:

  • Tap a reason and you’re through. No more pressing “Next” after every step.
  • Fewer levels to dig through. Revealing werewolves, the solo killer team or lovers now sit right under Gamethrowing.
  • One last screen shows your reason with the comment box and the submit button, instead of a separate comment step and a review step.
  • The comment is optional when the evidence speaks for itself. For chat reports, revealing, usernames, profile messages and profile images, everything we need is already attached to your report, so you can skip typing. For everything else, a few words from you still help a lot.

📰 Newsletter

The newsletter gravestone

Want Wolvesville news and events straight to your inbox? You can now sign up for our newsletter, with the button on the main screen or in Settings → Newsletter.

We’ll send you an email to confirm your address. Tap the link inside and, as a thank you, a legendary gravestone you can’t get anywhere else is waiting for you in a loot box. Changed your mind? You can unsubscribe in the same spot in the settings at any time.

🧩 Various

Battle pass challenges

  • The hero challenge now asks for 10 hero games instead of 20.
  • “Play games with different roles” and “Play games with different equipped role cards” now have a details button. Tap it to see which roles you’ve already played or which role cards already counted, so you know exactly what’s still missing.

Look in the Mirror

The Look in the Mirror achievement (Steam, Google Play Games and Game Center) asks you to reveal a player who has the same role as you. Until now only public reveals counted, so a Vigilante , Pacifist or Wolf Pacifist revealing a twin in private never unlocked it. Now it does.

Event roles in ranked

Our setup volunteers brought some event favorites to ranked! The setups of the new ranked season feature the Pumpkin oracle , Nutcracker , Evil cupid and Snow angel , so it’s the perfect time to jump into a ranked game.
